The Kentucky Democratic Party’s Coordinated Campaign is hiring Deputy Field Organizers (DFOs) for the 2023 general election cycle. We are looking for motivated and ambitious people to join one of the most competitive gubernatorial campaigns in the country. DFO’s will have the opportunity to gain firsthand political experience and work directly with staff on a nationally-watched gubernatorial election.
Each Deputy Field Organizer will receive a monthly stipend allocated for their weekly time commitment. All positions are in-person and are based in Kentucky, at a variety of campaign offices throughout the state. DFO’s are part-time positions and will be divided into two possible opportunities:
➔ 20-hour weekly commitment, which includes a $1,200 monthly stipend
➔ 10-hour weekly commitment, which includes a $600 monthly stipend
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
➔ Engage in direct voter contact by door-to-door canvassing to engage voters on critical issues and provide important election information.
➔ Assist in managing volunteers to participate in direct voter contact programs such as canvassing and phone banking as needed.
➔ On occasion DFOs may be asked to engage in phone calls to voters or volunteers.
QUALIFICATIONS
➔ Passionate about electing Democratic candidates and excited to play an important role in the campaign in your community.
➔ Comfortable canvassing door-to-door and calling voters and volunteers on the phone.
➔ Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively and clearly communicate.
➔ Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize projects while working on a deadline.
No prior campaign experience is necessary for this role!
This position is part time through the 2023 General Election. This is an in-person position and will require residence within an assigned region within Kentucky.
