FRANKFORT, Ky. – Today, Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement celebrating another successful round of the KDP’s Rural Listening Tour, which gave hundreds of Kentuckians a place to ask questions and voice concerns about what their communities need, since Kentucky’s elected Republicans refuse to listen to them:

“While Kentucky Republicans were plotting the largest cut to health care in U.S. history, Kentucky Democrats were putting boots on the ground to connect with communities betrayed by the Kentucky GOP. As part of this tour, the KDP is honored to have listened to hundreds of rural Kentuckians at risk of losing hospitals and health care — including many who tried to get answers from the Republicans who represent them,  but got only insults and neglect in return.”

Round two of the Rural Listening Tour included stops in the following:

  • Cumberland County
  • Gallatin County
  • Graves County
  • Johnson County
  • Adair County
  • Caldwell County

The KDP first launched the Rural Listening Tour in July 2024 to engage voters in every corner of the Commonwealth.
