FRANKFORT, Ky. – Today, Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement denouncing Kentucky’s Republican congressmen for ending the House session early, breaking yet another promise to their constituents and to the American people:

“After helping pass the largest cut to Medicaid and food assistance in American history, Kentucky’s Republican congressmen are ending the House session early — not because they’ve earned a vacation — but because their Party is so fractured they will do anything to avoid keeping their pledge of transparency. If they decide to show up in Kentucky, where concerned voters have been trying to find them for months, Kentucky’s GOP delegation will no doubt be too cowardly to sit down with the people they are sworn to represent — people who didn’t vote for broken promises.”
