KDP Statement on 6 Months of Trump’s War of Choice With Iran

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Today, as President Trump’s war of choice with Iran hit the six-month mark, Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement:

“Trump unilaterally decided to start a war six months ago, and Kentuckians have paid for it every day, with their paychecks, their tax dollars and even their lives. Republicans have done nothing to address war-induced price hikes on groceries, energy or gas — except threaten Kentucky counties and cities who worked with Gov. Beshear to lower costs.

“While Democrats are doing everything in their power to help working families stay afloat, Trump says he ‘loves inflation’ and that affordability is a ‘hoax.’ The real con job is this completely preventable economic pain, caused by a man who pledged to lower costs ‘on day one’ and end wars instead of starting them.”
