FRANKFORT, Ky. – Today, Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement on the upcoming congressional vote on health care tax credits for working families:

“Today, Kentucky Republicans in Congress have a chance to lower health care costs for Kentucky families. Without action, Kentuckians will be stuck paying two or even three times as much for the same health insurance coverage they had last month, even as the Republican federal budget threatens to close their hospitals and leave them with fewer options for care. We call on all members of Congress to do the right thing and vote for a future where no American has to use the emergency room as primary care or choose between paying for groceries and a doctor visit.”

The KDP encourages Kentuckians to call their congressman and urge them to build a healthier, more affordable Kentucky by extending these health care tax credits.
