KDP Statement on Heartbreaking Political Violence in Minnesota

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Today, Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement on the assassination and attempted assassination of Minnesota State Representative Melissa Hortman, State Senator John Hoffman and their spouses:

“What happened in Minnesota is unacceptable in a free democracy. No American should live in fear of becoming the target of violence for their political beliefs or service to their communities. Our prayers are with the victims’ families and loved ones.”
