KDP Statement on One-Month Anniversary of Trump’s War in Iran

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Today, one month after President Trump took the United States to war with Iran, Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement:

“President Trump’s decision to attack Iran and involve the United States in yet another war in the Middle East has had devastating consequences for Kentucky and the country. Prices are spiking at the gas pump. Global energy markets have been thrown into chaos. The Pentagon is requesting $200 billion from taxpayers to continue the fighting. And 13 U.S. service members have lost their lives, including two brave Kentuckians. It’s time for the President to put an end to this ill-advised war.”
