KDP Statement on President Trump’s Trip to Kentucky

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Today, Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement on President Trump’s visit to Kentucky, which comes as Kentucky families wrestle with his cost-of-living crisis and 35 Kentucky hospitals scramble to stay open under his federal budget’s cuts to rural health care:

“President Trump can’t sell his failing economy to Kentuckians struggling to buy groceries and gas. All of Kentucky’s toughest economic challenges of the past year are directly tied to his policies. His ‘One Big Beautiful Bill’ is actively closing rural health care facilities. The only prescription for lowering costs for the American people is to hold Trump accountable by electing more Democrats.”
