KDP Statement on Trump Administration Targeting Louisville and Lexington Voters

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Today, in response to President Trump’s Department of Justice announcing it would target the Democratic strongholds of Louisville and Lexington for increased election monitoring, Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement:

“With his own popularity plummeting, it’s no coincidence Trump is singling out areas ready to elect and reelect Democrats like Zach Dembo and Congressman Morgan McGarvey.

“As part of our commitment to full and fair elections in Kentucky, we will not tolerate any interference. We expect and demand that federal monitors follow all rules.”
