KDP Statement on Trump’s Order to Restrict Mail-In Voting

FRANKFORT, Ky. – In reaction to the U.S. Supreme Court’s decision to stay an injunction on President Trump’s order to block mail-in voting, Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement:

“As Trump’s popularity plummets and illegal tariffs and an endless war in Iran cause American families to pay ever-rising prices, Trump and the GOP will stop at nothing to hold on to power. That includes attempting to silence the voice of voters in a desperate attempt to rig the midterm elections.

“Democrats understand the right way to win elections is to do the right thing: listen to voters, support working families and deliver results that strengthen the American Dream. And they’ll continue to do just that, all while protecting your right to vote.”
