Kentucky Republicans are Complicit in Trump’s Failing Chaos Economy

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Today, with the U.S. Senate confirming President Trump’s temporary Federal Reserve pick, Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement urging all members of Congress to fight Trump’s economic incompetence:

"Manufacturing is slowing down nationwide, small businesses are laying off workers and life is getting more expensive, all on President Trump’s watch. His tariffs are stunting Kentucky's bourbon industry, and his KY GOP-backed Medicaid cuts are on track to close 35 Kentucky hospitals, knocking out many of our largest rural employers. Instead of working with Democrats to counteract the Trump-induced chaos, Senate Republicans, including both from Kentucky, just voted to make it even harder for anyone to tell him no, even at the brink of recession.”
