KDP Statement on Andy Barr’s Campaign Removing Pro-Trump Messaging

FRANKFORT, Ky. – Today, in response to Andy Barr’s U.S. Senate campaign removing and reducing references to President Trump, Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement:

“Andy Barr, like Ralph Alvarado, knows he can only win by lying to voters about his record. He’s desperate to cover up his vocal support of Trump’s forever wars, tariff-induced price hikes and extreme cuts to Medicaid.

“Every day, these Barr-approved policies force Kentuckians to make difficult decisions about food, healthcare and the future. Rather than doing anything to help ease the pain of Kentucky families, Barr simply decided to distance himself from the president and the party who caused it.”
