KDP Statement on Cook Political Report Shifting 6th Congressional District Toward Democrats

LEXINGTON, Ky. – Today, after the Cook Political Report shifted its prediction for Kentucky’s 6th Congressional District to “toss-up” from “leans Republican,” Kentucky Democratic Party (KDP) Chair Colmon Elridge released the following statement:

“As Trump and Republicans continue driving up prices through tariffs, ugly budgets and the Iran War Ralph Alvarado has celebrated, Kentuckians are looking for proven public servants like Zach Dembo who will fight for them.

“Kentucky voters see Zach as the alternative they need to corrupt politicians like Alvarado, who admits he has no idea what groceries cost and campaigned with the Republican House leader who pledged to pursue ‘exactly’ the same policies pushing Kentucky families and businesses to the brink.”
